We finally bring you our coverage of The Cure's Reflections Tour from this past Sunday's show (special thanks to the Queen of e.vil who blessed us with front row seats). Needless to say this was a performance of epic proportions. Robert Smith and his band of talents put on intimate four hour show to a sold out Beacon Theatre, all the while never forcing fan favorites, but instead playing the tracks they wanted us to hear.
The concert included a Robert Smith tear streaming rendition of Seventeen Seconds to close out the Seventeen Seconds set. However, Mr. Smith was not the only one crying, just about every other time we took our eyes off the band we noticed Cure die-hards pouring their eyes out, and perhaps their hearts as well. There were rumors swirling that this would be The Cure's last live show, however, Rob dismissed those, closing the concert with a very chippy "see you next year" (you can catch that at the end of the Boys Dont Cry video). Yes we will Rob, yes we will.
Below you will find our video coverage of the event, including videos for A Forest, Killing An Arab, Lets Go To Bed, and a concert closing Boys Dont Cry.
After the show we caught up with Queen of e.vil to show some love. At that same time The Cure's kick ass roadies were giving away some stage items to die-hards. Guess what Mrs. e.vil came down with? Robert Smith's stage beer, lipstick stained and all. Check out the video below to see how that cup of lager got to Kill Hannah front-man Mat Devine and what he decided to do with it.
