Mr. Little Jeans, the one-woman show led by Scandinavian Monica Birkenes, releases her remix of Arcade Fire's The Suburbs, a dark rendition of the hit single. We personally favor the remix, not to discredit Arcade Fire whatsoever. Check out more of her material on SounCloud as there is plenty.Suburbs by Mr Little Jeans

|NewVillager's Ben Bromley (right) was kind enough to sit down and chat with Scotch and Murder|
You may remember NewVillager from their absolutely stellar video for LightHouse. We recently had the privilege to sit down with NewVillager’s immensely creative and talented Ben Bromley and learn more about the group and some upcoming projects. The self described "new-pop" band started in California where Ben and co-founder Ross Simonini met in college, and were recently joined by Colin Palmer. Currently residing in New York, the three come together to provide a high energy, yet soothing sound that is true to NewVilllager's vision.
Ford & Lopatin (formerly Games) provide you with a direct portal to the 80's on their new album Channel Pressure. You can stream the entire album below -- via FACT. For a little background on the video watch the video below, which provides quite the backdrop to the album. Channel Pressure is out next week on Mexican Summer.

While Charlotte Gainsbourg in the process of finishing up her new album with the assistance of Beck,
Boys Noize took the time to reallocate some serious sounds revolving around her Charlotte's track Trick Pony. The German legend never ceases to amaze. Take a pull.Charlotte Gainsbourg - Trick Pony (Boys Noize Remix) by Scotch and Murder
The video for ACheerleader (Dir. Jonnie Penn and Olivier Olivier) will inspire you to go hard this weekend. Bikini totally fucking rocks, replacing the Zombie Kids as the current artist with the baddest video out. Hell, they might have the baddest song out right now, its definitely our favorite Pick up the NYC based Bikini new EP RIPJDS.

The New Division maintains their place as the leader of creating epic sounds with new single, True Lies. The band seems to have a knack for perfectly matching John Kunkel's booming vocals with the rest of the Division's superb sound. Big fans of the track, a fine blend of the dark sordid sounds and a just the right amount of pop.

ANR was one of the first groups we fell in love with when we started Scotch and Murder. The Miami based duo released a new video for the title track off their album Stay Young, which reminds to... well to stay young. The video is the exact opposite from the duo's gory production for Big Problem, reminding us all just how eclectic ANR truly is. We also stumbled across a remix of the track by the awesomeness that is Memory Tapes.
ANR - Stay Kids (Memory Tapes remix) by Scotch and Murder
Grow marks the third single off Delorean's highly successful Subiza album. The Spanish synthed out rock band stick to their roots on the track and add a splendid Taragana Pyjarama remix for you listening pleasure.

Washington based Skai Nine is quickly gaining momentum with killer tracks inspired by the 80's synth pop era we love so much. Besides hailing from the nations capital theres not much more we can tell you about the mystifying Skai Nine, but we do love what they are doing with their music. Here are few sample tracks, pick up the Jasmine EP free on bandcamp.

Dj/Producer SposhRock takes an agressive approach remixing The Naked & Famous' hit single "Young Blood," a great track all by itself. Not sure how you would categorize this remix, maybe some mutated rendition of Chillwave and Witch House. It is clear though that this slow moving, heavily distorted bass track is bad ass. Listen Now!

Labyrinth Ear followed up their recent re-work of Arthur Russell's Walk on the Moon with quite the video.

You know when you find a remix of an artist you love by an artist you love and you know the song is bad ass before you even listen to it? Innerpartysystem released a remix album doing just that. The album features remixes of Not Getting Any Better by some personal favorites including, Designer Drugs and Treasure Fingers. INSTANT BANGER status on these folks. You can download them directly off the player.
If you dig the tracks (as we did) then pick up the whole album from Beatport (as we did).

The Miracles Club released a video for the recent Cut Copy re-vision of Light of Love. Again the group demonstrates a unique ability to emphasize the talent of those they select to be a part of their production. A true set of artistry, keep an eye out for the Miracles Club.
New Order has unleashed a previously unreleased track, Hellbent. The track is off the forthcoming New Order and Joy Division album, TOTAL, available on June 6th (Rhino). We were a bit worried that this was some half hearted promotion, but the track really takes you back and stays true to the bands sound. Very pleasurable.

Walter Sobcek is a duo based out of France and Germany, portrayed as concept, a story that needs to be heard. The rest is a mystery. The group seems to share our penchant for music influenced by the sounds the 80s, and this remix is dripping with such greatness. Matched with Karen Ann's piercing crisp voice, the track makes for an instant classic in our book. Keep an eye out for Walter Sobcek as they continue to lurk through the shadows.
We love this song, and so will you

London's Labyrinth Ear has completed a splendid cover of Arthur Russell's very chill, This is How We Walk on the Moon. Also, check out Labyrinth Ear's latest EP Oak, which you can download free on their website. A super talented duo, thoughts of a chilled out Crystal Castles on Xanax come to mind.

Neon and psychedelic enriched surfing and dolphins, yes please. The surf obsessed duo from Seattle, Beat Connection, released a video for In the Water. We've been big fans for quite some time, so we are particularly excited for this one. Download the In The Water Here.

We cant help but be amazed by the ethereal and vivid tracks produced under the name Jesse Ruins, who remains as mysterious one can (we still cant figure out if its band, duo, soloist, let alone if its a he or she), We hope more light will be shed on Jesse Ruins after its upcoming cassette/vinyl release on Cuz Me Pain. Interior Ambient is the latest track we've come across, we find it a fine follow up to their last musical endeavor, Dream Analysis.

The BANG GANG released the new BUMBLEBEEZ EP, IM A COWBOI, last weak and we wanted to pass along the good word. In short we love the EP, probably the first time we've heard pure electronic vocals work so well with an entire EP (no not auto-tune, but an actual computer talking). Our favorites are 'I dont Dance the Robot' and 'Fatt Sheriff'.' As described by the BANG GANG, the EP is about:
"A cowboi called Charlie, who ran the Wild Wild Web (A place between Mongolia and India) who rode horses and had the best paddocks in the shire. It tells us of his babe Betty Jane who ran a internet whiskey shop and liked to post pictures of her self around the Wild Wild Web. Then one day Bad Sheriff came to town he had a virus and tied everyones horses to a train and ate everybodys steak and shot all the ravers."
Makes perfect sense. We love it....Listen to the entire EP below, and pick up a copy here. Stay off his Internet.

Teen Daze provides us with yet another new song from the from the growing collection he has been working on, The Bluest Water I'd Ever Seen. As we've come to expect from the talented Mr. Daze, the track maintains a lovely chill wave sound to it. A perfect beach track, providing that much needed escape from your concrete jungle. Daze was very particular when it came to making the video that accompanies the the new track, and we'd say the two compliment each other quite well. Also, Daze passes along word to keep your ears open for a new album announcement coming very soon.Download Teen Daze - The Bluest Water I'd Ever Seen.
PICTUREPLANE (aka Travis Egedy) made a name for himself in the Colorado wharhouse electro scene and he has come along way since. His latest release, Thee Physical, caught our eye. You can hear the influences of the early 90s late 80 electronic synthish sound. Try out a sample track, Real is a Feeling, below. Love the title on that one.
